About Lawer and Lawers Foundation
Established and Registered entity. Family Support Project in the early 2000s to a well established and registerd entity, — winning souls for Christ and helping deprived children, especially orphans, in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region of Ghana.
Our Story
Started as a Family Support Project providing financial, material and spiritual support to students — especially those in secondary and tertiary institutions — and training the underprivileged in vocations/trades and introducing micro-business for women.
As more people sought help following our track record, the need for higher and broader interventions became evident. [grew]. Many from the initial [group] benificiaries are now well-established, contributing to community and national development — monumental testimonies to the Foundation.
The Foundation operated initially as an informal body but has recently, since-----formalised its operations by registering it as an entity. This has made room for the expansion of its programs and activities to reach more people.
[Operating informally at first, we recently formalised to expand programmes and reach more people].
Today orphans from this project are in various levels of formal and informal education across Ghana, with some studying outside the country.
We work in Lower Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region where many communities lack social safety nets.
